Introduction

Angela Hamlin has dedicated her life to perfecting the art of nursing and care. Testament to her understanding, compassion and empathy in the business of care is her excellent network of healthcare professionals and prestigious clientele. As a prominent figure within the domiciliary care industry for the past 20+ years, Angela has secured a reputation as a leading figure in providing nursing and care for clients in their own homes.

Today, Angela continues to inspire and innovate, consulting and working with individuals and businesses in the healthcare sector, as well as providing nursing and care services for independent adults who choose to live, or recuperate, at home. A passionate advocate for the benefits of keeping patients out of hospital, her consultancy brings knowledge and skill to an industry which needs her experience now more than ever before.

She continues to pioneer training and improve working practices for Carers and Nurses, as well as working tirelessly as a mentor for young women in business and raising funds for charity.

“When engaging with someone to work with us we always judge them on their attitude. We look for 80% attitude and 20% skills. You can teach people skills but you cannot teach them attitude.” AH

About

Angela was Deputy Matron at King Edward VII’s Hospital for Officers for 12 of the 19 years that she worked there. She qualified in South Africa as a Registered Nurse and Midwife before taking a position as Ward Sister at Queen Mary’s Hospital, Roehampton.

In 1996 Angela founded a nursing and care agency in London after she was unable to find the quality of care that she was seeking for her mother. After selling this agency in 2016, and remaining as Managing Director until 2020, Angela left and set up her own Nursing & Care company Angela Hamlin Health Care Professionals, to continue working with those who share her standards and passion in care.

“We take into account you as a “whole” person and not just the condition you need dealing with. We aim to take the worry and stress out of your situation and for your loved ones around you.” AH

Independent Doctors Federation

Angela was elected Corporate Sponsor Representative three times (a total of 9 years) to sit on Council of the Independent Doctors Federation. Awarded the Silver Medal, she was the first non-Doctor to be awarded the medal and the only non-doctor to sit on the IDF Council.

The objective of the owner and management of Grayshott was to ensure that the medical services, health, rehabilitation and recuperation programmes were compliant with the Care Quality Commission. Angela also advised on their client admission guidelines. The Medical Advisory Board at the time was unique to a Spa in the UK.
